AAKG effect
AAKG is the abbreviation for Arginine Alpha-Ketoglutarate (or Arginine α-Ketoglutarate). The semi-essential and proteinogenic (protein-forming) amino acid L-arginine is the basis of the AAKG effect. L-arginine can be produced by our body itself, but is supplemented primarily by athletes when there is increased need.
The L-arginine in AAKG Ultra Strong has the highest nitrogen content of all proteinogenic amino acids. Alpha-ketoglutarate, on the other hand, is involved in nitrogen metabolism, including transport. As a bioactive molecule, nitrogen monoxide (NO) has a blood circulation-promoting effect. This increases blood circulation, oxygen and nutrient transport, among other things in the muscles.
