Beta alanine is a non-proteinogenic amino acid that occurs naturally in food - and primarily in animal foods. In the human body, beta alanine is one of the two raw materials from which the body's most powerful intramuscular acid blocker is produced. This is known as carnosine and is of great importance for a number of processes in the human body. Beta-alanine is considered the limiting factor in carnosine production. So it limits the rate of carnosine production. This means that the more beta alanine available to the body, the more carnosine it produces.

Recommended consumption:
