ProFuel Citrulline Malate is a high-quality supplement to increase blood circulation and performance during training. Thanks to the improved blood flow, the muscles are optimally supplied with oxygen and nutrients during training and metabolic waste products are also effectively removed. Citrulline malate is particularly popular in muscle building and strength training, as citrulline works as a pre-workout booster for an intensive muscle pump. Endurance athletes, on the other hand, benefit from citrulline malate through improved energy production.

The ProFuel citrulline-malate powder contains the effective combination of the amino acid L-citrulline and malate (malic acid salt) in an optimal 2:1 ratio. One serving (3 g) provides 2 g L-citrulline and 1 g malate. The citrulline is converted into arginine in the body and thus ensures increased production of nitric oxide (NO). The result: relaxation of the blood vessels and thus optimal blood circulation. The malate in turn optimizes energy production with oxygen, which is the key to greater performance in endurance sports.

Citrulline malate as a pre-workout booster

ProFuel's Citrulline Malate 2:1 powder is ideal as a pre-workout booster for better blood circulation and more power during training. After ingestion, the citrulline is transported to the kidneys and converted into arginine. ProFuel therefore recommends that you take the citrulline malate 2:1 powder approx. 30 minutes before you start training. The citrulline malate is tasteless and has a slightly sour and refreshing note due to the malate (malic acid salt).

Citrulline Malate - Big differences in quality - it depends on the origin

The amino acid L-citrulline was first discovered in watermelons and this is how it got its name. Nowadays, citrulline for sports nutrition is not produced from watermelons but by converting the amino acid arginine into citrulline. It is therefore important to know how the arginine was obtained. Cheap arginine is made from duck feathers and therefore from an animal source, while vegetable arginine is obtained via a fermentative process. ProFuel only uses 100% vegan raw materials for the citrulline malate 2:1 powder and therefore relies on high-quality, fermented arginine. As an amino acid, citrulline is a much more expensive raw material than malate (malic acid salt). In order to save costs, some manufacturers sell an inexpensive citrulline-malate powder with a reduced citrulline content and a ratio of just 1:1. ProFuel's high-quality citrulline malate powder uses a 100% vegan premium raw material with a high citrulline content and a ratio of 2:1.

Add one (3 g) to three (9 g) measuring spoons of citrulline malate with 300-500 ml of water in a mixing bowl and shake vigorously for approx. 10 seconds. Drink 20 to 30 minutes before training. It is best taken in the morning on an empty stomach on non-training days.

For optimal effect, ProFuel recommends that you take between one (3 g) to three (9 g) measuring spoons of citrulline malate, depending on your training level. For newcomers, 3 g of citrulline malate is suitable. For those who train regularly, two measuring spoons (6 g) of citrulline malate are recommended daily. Experienced athletes, bodybuilders or endurance athletes benefit from a high dose of 9 g citrulline malate (3 measuring spoons). In the professional dosage of 9 g of citrulline malate, you can split the intake into two parts on training days: take 3 g in the morning and the remaining 6 g before training.

On non-training days, you should definitely take the right amount of L-citrulline malate to support regeneration and general blood circulation. This will help you get fit again more quickly for the next training session.

Zubereitung

Ein (3 g) bis drei (9 g) Messlöffel Citrullin-Malat mit 300-500 ml Wasser in einen Mixbecher geben und für ca. 10 Sekunden kräftig schütteln. 20 bis 30 Minuten vor dem Training trinken. An trainingsfreien Tagen am besten morgens auf leeren Magen einnehmen.

Für eine optimale Wirkung empfiehlt ProFuel Dir abhängig von deinem jeweiligen Trainingsniveau zwischen ein (3 g) bis drei (9 g) Messlöffel Citrullin-Malat einzunehmen. Für Neueinsteiger sind 3 g Citrullin-Malat passend. Wer regelmäßig trainiert, werden täglich zwei Messlöffel (6 g) Citrullin-Malat empfohlen. Erfahrene Athleten, Bodybuilder oder Ausdauer-Sportler profitieren von einer hohen Dosis von 9 g Citrullin-Malat (3 Messlöffel). In der Profi-Dosierung von 9 g Citrullin-Malat kann man an Trainingstagen die Einnahme auch auf zwei Mal aufteilen: Am morgen 3 g einnehmen und vor dem Training die restlichen 6 g.
