Essential Amino Acids - Meaning & Function
EAA is the abbreviation for Essential Amino Acids. These include: leucine, isoleucine, valine, lysine, threonine, methionine, phenylalanine and tryptophan. Essential means that these amino acids are vital for the human organism and must be consumed through food or nutritional supplements.
The body can produce other non-essential amino acids from the essential amino acids. The individual amino acids form the basic building blocks of human protein metabolism (protein biosynthesis). The body needs (essential) amino acids to build muscles, organs, body tissue, plasma proteins, enzymes, messenger substances, etc. To put it simply, carbohydrates and fats in nutrition are energy suppliers for the body while proteins, more precisely the amino acids, are used as "building materials" act.
An optimal supply of essential amino acids is the basic requirement for building and maintaining muscles and for quick and effective recovery. Athletes in particular should therefore attach great importance to an adequate supply of essential amino acids.
ALPHA.EAAs are better than protein powder!?
The body has to break down the dietary protein into individual amino acids before the body can absorb and process them. This breakdown process begins in the stomach and continues in the intestines. Due to these digestive processes, it takes several hours for the body to break down and absorb the amino acids from the dietary protein.
In order to accelerate this absorption process, there are also so-called hydrolysates for proteins. This is a partially broken down protein, which is therefore absorbed much more quickly by the body. However, the ALPHA.EAAs are individual amino acids that the body does not have to break down further but can absorb directly. Measurements have shown that it only takes around 20 minutes after drinking until the amino acids flow into the bloodstream and are available to the body.
If you want to supply your body with essential amino acids quickly and effectively, you should choose ALPHA.EAAs over a classic protein shake. The ALPHA.EAAs are particularly suitable for supplementation during training. The ALPHA.EAAs can be consumed as a pre-, intra- or post-workout drink.
Essential amino acids (EAA) ideal for muscle building and dieting
Thanks to the optimized net amino acid utilization, the ALPHA.EAA drinks are ideal for both diets and muscle building. During a diet or fat loss phase, essential amino acids supply the body with valuable protein building blocks with almost no calories. This leaves more calories for carbohydrates and fats. For athletes and bodybuilders with an increased protein requirement, essential amino acids offer the opportunity to absorb additional "protein" without putting unnecessary strain on the organism: In addition to a lower burden on the urea cycle (liver, kidneys), significantly fewer acids are also formed, which is particularly important for This is extremely interesting for people who pay attention to a balanced acid-base balance.

ALPHA.EAA Essential Amino Acids - 100% vegan & made in Germany
The ALPHA.EAAs are highly dosed and provide a whopping 10 g of EAAs per serving. The individual essential amino acids are obtained from corn through fermentation. Thanks to a special microencapsulation with sunflower lecithin (no soy!), the ALPHA.EAAs have excellent solubility. The addition of sugar was also completely avoided. The ALPHA.EAAs have inherited the sensational taste of ProFuel's ALPHAMINOS and therefore rightly bear the suffix ALPHA. In addition, as always, ProFuel consistently avoids the use of artificial colors in its ALPHA.EAA drinks.

ProFuel's personal recommendation
It's best to mix an ALPHA.EAA essential amino acid drink about 30 minutes before training and drink it in sips. You can mix another portion for the training itself, so you always have a delicious taste in your water. After training, ProFuel recommends, for example, a delicious ProFuel V-PROTEIN shake or, to save calories (diet), another ALPHA.EAA drink.
